Retirement of VP-Finance Sparks New Hire and MT DEQ Recognizes Excellence
Billings, Mont. – CMG Construction, LLC, a privately-owned company specializing in heavy development and structural work for commercial and civil infrastructure projects nationwide, today announced the hiring of Daniel Baker to replace Tassie Irion as Director of Finance.
Baker has joined CMG Construction as the Director of Finance. Daniel has over six years’ experience in Senior Management of finance, audit and accounting. Most recently, Baker worked as a Senior Accountant at Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, an international chain of restaurants with over 80 locations throughout the US and Canada. Daniel Baker holds a Masters in Accounting from Weber State University and a Bachelors of Accounting from BYU-Idaho.
Tassie Irion joined CMG Construction in 2011 at their Johnson Lane Materials location. She worked her way up to become the Vice President of Finance, helping the company navigate from a Billings local civil contractor to a nationally based firm with offices throughout Montana, North Dakota, and Texas. Tassie has had a wonderful career of over 30 in public and private accounting and will miss the people of CMG. She is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, children, and especially her new grandson.
CMG Construction’s own Kyle McGlone will be recognized as an “individual who has made significant strides to work positively with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (MT DEQ), promote the importance of our programs, and make continuous efforts to protect water quality despite challenges”, writes Christopher Romankiewicz, Lead Compliance Director for the MT DEQ. McGlone will receive an award for “Excellence in Environment Achievements” during the upcoming DEQ Storm Water Conference to be held on May 1-3 in Bozeman.
